 Dear Prime Minister

We must add our disappointment in the decision for Gay Marriages. Orthodox Christians through out this country cannot accept equalizing the blessed state of marriage created by God with what is called same sex "marriage."

It is beyond us how one can say that the preservation of the sanctity of marriage according to Biblical tenets violates the charter of human rights. One is able to understand civil unions and the protection of certain financial obligations by the government for certain partnerships, but to frame this decision by legalizing same sex unions as marriage is a moral stretch.

It saddens us all in the name of the family, which is the foundation of a sane and just society.
