The
Syrian occupation in Lebanon through its local mercenary politicians and clergymen are
waging a vicious media and judicial campaign in a bid to tag Lebanon's nationalists as
pro-Israeli Zionist agents. These Syrian appointed puppets are accusing any
patriotic Lebanese who calls for freedom and democracy to be a traitor and American spy.
They see Lebanon's sovereignists as anti Arab, while they fail to declare the real
truth or defend their peoples' dignity.
In this regard, we solidly believe that many political gatherings and parties in occupied
Lebanon to be true patriots; true Lebanese who are witnesses to the truth.
Unfortunately, these patriots are limited in their capacity of occupation to quickly
defend Lebanon and immediately free Him from his Syrian shackles. Their political
ceiling is not an ideal one, but for an occupied country, their struggle is valorous and
admirable. Because of these limitations, there is an urgency for the Lebanese
Diaspora to uphold their patriotic obligation and recognize that they have a holy and
imperative mission to carry the liberation torch and defend the rights of the oppressed
Lebanese people in their ancestral land!
We often here the phrase "witnesses to the truth" and so some ask, "What is
the truth?" The truth is simple; the truth is what we see on a daily basis.
The truth is the mass immigration of our brightest students. The truth is
that 40,000 Syrian soldiers are occupying our country. The truth is that our youth
are being imprisoned and persecuted for upholding freedom and democracy and their basic
human rights! The truth is that Lebanon is slowly being bleached of its splendid
natural color and stripped of its 7000 years of history. The truth is that Lebanon
has finally became only a land with a name, but a state with no meaning, no role, or shape
of existence in the Middle East.
We have become pawns in the hands of an oppressive and totalitarian regime that is playing
the game of "divide and conquer". This Stalinist regime is eliminating all
of its opponents by force.
Why can't we demonstrate for the truth in our own country while the Palestinians in the
occupied territories are allowed to demonstrate in the presence of the Israeli soldiers?
Why can't we express our minds freely without being challenged by a bunch of narrow minded
fundamentalists claiming to be Lebanese nationalists? How do these leashed dogs feel
being controlled like pets, reacting everytime the button is pressed? When these
puppets decline to act or respond according to their Syrian master, they are substituted
by other robots that will behave. They claim to be fighting sectarianism, yet they
are the ones who mobilize one sect against the other in order to intimidate the masses
into believing that the opposition is instigating sectarian strife!
None of the sovereignist leaders have ever spoke in a sectarian tone despite the many
verbal abuses and attacks bitterly hailed upon them by wicked religious figures. The
occupier has recruited a team of "Yes Sir" men spearheaded by corrupt
politicians, Clergymen and Mafia figures. Nasser Qandil, Karim Pakradouni, Elias
Murr, Fouad Malik, Michel Murr and many others are among this team. Other prominent
chameleon political figures like Mr. Walid Jumblatt are also serving the scheme against
Lebanon's sovereignty, independence, identity and entity. We call of those who may
be deceived by the tactics of the many Elias Murrs and Walid Jumblatts to wake up and be
Lebanese and only Lebanese.
No power in the world can muffle the courageous cries of Lebanon's Patriots advocating for
freedom. No power in the world can intimidate the brave patriotic Lebanese!
Lebanon's occupier is ignoring history and forgetting the fact that Lebanese people for
the past 7000 years have defeated and humiliated all invaders and occupiers. Let
Lebanon's enemies take note that the current occupier's fate will not be different.
Sooner or later the Syrian occupier will be forced to leave Lebanon, with respect if
wisdom is resorted to and with humiliation if he chooses so.
Long Live Free Lebanon
