Legalization of Same Sex Marriage Is A Threat to Our Children !

The CLHRF is deeply saddened and disappointed by the passage of the Bill in the House of Commons last Tuesday on June 28/2005 legalizing same sex marriage. In a joint letter sent to the Honourable Paul Martin, Prime Minister of Canada, on February 17, 2004  (http://www.clhrf.com/marriage/religious.leb.eng28.2.05.htm)., the Lebanese-Canadian community, with all its religions and denominations, and NGO'S had openly and loudly opposed this deviation from the social and moral norms.

The CLHRF has adopted the position and statements that have been issued with regard to same-sex issues by the
Christian Coalition International (Canada) Inc., and will continue its peaceful opposition to this new, unjustified and threatening legislation, with full co-ordination with the CCIC.

The CLHRF believes that the interests of Canadian children will be jeopardized the most. Children can not decide for themselves, and accordingly, as third parties, they will be forced to live in the milieu of same-sex marriage, with parents and others. This new legislation is neither constructive nor encouraging for our children, because marriage now will be meaningless, as the whole homosexual subculture defines its ultimate meaning.
