Breaking News
LCCC: We just learned from Cedar Watch that Mr. Fadi Al-Chamati, a Lebanese Forces member has been arrested/kidnapped on Wednesday morning from his work place in the city of Tripoli, North Lebanon. The identity of the kidnappers is not yet known. Meanwhile Mr. Chamatis house was raided by unidentified armed men.
Cedar watch denounces such illegal and inhuman acts and cautions from its consequences.
Cedar watch will continue to observe the unfolding events closely and will be willing to unveil all what is happening and expose publicly to the whole world those who stand behind such atrocities.
Cedar Watch will be ready to expose all those who hide behind the law, abuse it and infringe on the basic human rights of the Lebanese people.
Finally and as was done in each and every release, Cedar Watch finds it necessary to remind the Lebanese authorities of its obligation in regards to honoring and abiding by all the laws and regulations that cover cases of arrests, detention and referral to courts. It also stresses the plain judicial fact that no arrest should take place without fulfilling all the required legal procedures.
