CCIC Editorial Comment: In a senseless act of terror the life of many innocent citizens of Lebanon were snuffed out by the despicable terrorist acts of fanatical radicals operating within the borders of Lebanon. The fact that even a Muslim former Prime Minister was targeted for assassination in this manner with a suicide car bombing shows the world just how dangerous these criminals are. Western governments including our Canadian Government are deluding themselves if they think this could not happen on their soil. CCIC Inc. deeply deplores the loss of life in Lebanon and stands with our Canadian Lebanese friends to demand an end to the Syrian occupation of Lebanon and the implementation of UN resolution 1559, which calls for the removal of all Syrian troops from Lebanese soil.
