Dear Fellow Lebanese in occupied Lebanon and Diaspora
Toni Orion an active member of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM) in Lebanon was unlawfully arrested on August 5th 2001 alongside with his colleagues Toni Harb, and Maroun Nassif for distributing an edition of  the Lebanese Bulletin that already published on tens of website locations and numerous Lebanese local newspapers. The article in question written by Lebanon's PM, in exile General Michel Aoun was also aired on some Lebanese TV stations.
Toni Orion’s and his colleagues were sentenced to 45 days in jail, which fall in direct violation of their constitutional rights according to articles 8 and 14 of the Lebanese constitution, and articles 224, 225 of the penal code.
In addition to the articles stipulated in the International Covenant on Civil and political rights Toni Orion has officially declared a hunger strike as of last Saturday.  He is demanding the following.
1-All illegally arrested and sentenced in the last campaign should be revoked since it was done in direct violation of their basic human rights.
2- The Central Security Council should go back on its decisions that violate the very basic human rights.
3- The Lebanese authorities should immediately arrest and prosecute those responsible for the latest crackdown campaign.
It is our intention to let the whole world know about Toni Orion and his love for Freedom and Lebanon.  It is our hope that the free world takes a stand against all violation of human rights against innocent civilians whom ever they are.  The puppet Beirut regimes in Lebanon and its Syrian proxy have no respect for the basic human rights or freedom. Their only aim is to kill any democratic process in Lebanon and push the country into a totalitarian regime as the one in Syria.
We urge you to stand up for freedom and democracy in Lebanon and suggest these steps:
Call the MP in the country where you live, update him/her on the current oppressive status quo imposed on Lebanon.
Write to the local newspapers and other media means...provide them with information about Tony's case.
Write to His Holiness the Pope and to His Beatitude Patriarch Sfier...demand their immediate interference for Tony's release.
Write to Human Rights organizations, Amnesty international Human Rights Watch, Red Cross etc
Write to the Churches in the city where you reside.
Write to President Bush and President Chirac of France
Do all what you can to support this Lebanese hero who is fighting for your dignity and honor.
Yours truly,
George Khoury
Lccc Foreign Affairs Chairman.
